News for August 2008

I know that I haven't checked in with you for a few months now, but after traveling and returning to Miami I now have some news...

IDEA, Las Vegas was such a bad show for me as a company and for the clothing. Too many apparel vendors and not enough people!  There were supposed to be 5-7000 participants but I saw no more than about 3000. No one from Asia, Australia or Europe attended the event and the Americans that were there were not buying because of the bad economy situation that we are in at the moment. I had not done the IDEA show for about 7 years and will probably not go back as a vendor again.

Now on a better note...

ECA World Fitness Convention is coming to Miami again this Novemeber and I am proud to be part of it again. Year after year it is the best fitness event in the industry and promises to be even better this year. They have top notch presenters from all around the World and this year I have heard that many participants from Europe and Asia are coming to attend. It is also my best trade show, all of the New York shoppers come down and really support me and my line of apparel...thank you!

This past Summer I was also in The glamerous Hamptons teaching at Pat Granthams Summer Kicks Studio.

Staying at her beach house really relaxed me and those girls from The Hamptons really know how to workout!

I also spent many evenings at dinner with Pat spotting the rich & famous, Steven Speilberg and his wife one evening at Nick & Tony's restaurent then Glenn Close walking her dog down the street from Pats beach house. One day I was on the beach sunbathing and a dog passed by on my towel, as I looked up it was the owner Meg Ryan! So you really never know who you will spot in The Hamptons.

Equinox, South Beach where I am the Group Fitness manager had a Philip Gray trunk show and we sold out of many styles, thank you to all of you that shopped! If you are ever in SoBe please stop by and take a class with me. My schedule is on the classes page of the website.

I will touch base with you all next month and let you know what is happening for Fall.
